Owly Gone Wild!

So I am preparing for another hunt at Fire GOOD!!! - and i needed a model for my new Can launcher and matching CANtlers.  Owly was free to help me out last night... and this was only like five fun filled minutes of madness, but the pictures turned out so silly i had to share.
We start off with a cool James Bond pose.  So far so good....oh wait...check out her EYE!!! hahaha (click the picture to zoom in for a better view).  Also...check out her grabby hand!
She takes a break to slam one down...
Here she looks a bit dazed and now she has one in each hand!

Launching madness ensues, there are cans flying everywhere...
...and then we clean up!

the end :)

Pajama Party

Every Sunday night the party gets better! I never had doubts that a bunch of "fun" folks like us wouldn't continue to top it week after week.

Tonight's Pajama Jamming Party was one of the best. We had the awesome DJ Sweez, who is available for bar mitzvah and divorces? Great tunes, great friends and lots of costume changes...

Coyote and Cat discussing book club early...
Foxie watching TV in the pillow fort...
Lillith looking awesome...Kaydence and the best rollers I have seen...
Foxie testing out the sleeping bags too...
Coyote again...
Catalina was so tired from the set up, she napped during the party...
Me in the pillow fort, I want one in my room Cat! PLEAZE
Further and his sheep slippers... think they were made from Owly's last costume?
Catalina looking so sweet... (Don't be fooled!)
Sam and her friend who claimed not to have PJ's....

And lots of DANCING! and PILLOW FIGHTS!!

beasts on the home sim

Last Sunday the CTRL+SHIFT+H sim had another one of its themed parties. This time: beasts and creatures. I apologize for the lack of good documentation, but things got really crazy really fast and I lost track of things and forgot about photos.

It went like this: faun, sheep, fox, fox makes comments about "horny" sheep and faun, pile of sheep follows, people sit on pile of sheep, sheep prove to be no-mod and so magic of flight is not possible, alien bikini girl attempts to eat bunny girl, alien girl rezzes giant cootie, proceeds to navigate cootie into nothingness, then drops us to the ground, then LEAVES, leaving us with no pilot, Cyrus saves the day by rezzing flower and particles and we continue our adventures.

As you will see, the pictures do not do this tale justice. However, here you go.

Does this kind of insanity sound fun to you? Join us tonight at 8 pm SLT for a pajama party!

geek pride week!

The Home Sim celebrated its first Geek Pride Week, starting on Tuesday, May 18 and culminating with International Geek Pride Day, on Tuesday, May 25. Geek Week was also our official sim opening and an opportunity to share our vision for our Home and the work we have done since February with friends, neighbors, and SL residents in general.

Among the various events we used as an excuse to celebrate our geek pride, we had a book discussion, several concerts, an art show, and a themed party. Here are some of the highlights:
  • The League of Extraordinary Dorks Book Club met to discuss ChatBrat Pippita's pick this month, which was The Reader, by Bernard Schlink. We had one of the best book discussions we've had since the beginning of our book group, I thought, and this meeting also saw some new people join our regular cast of characters.

  • Bone Mosten, resident geek, put together some of his awesome art pieces and helped us celebrate our geek pride with class. Bone's pieces are still out if you want to come visit, and they are free for you to take!
  • Framulox Ezvalt, Dorian Horten, and Harper Messmer played amazing and very different concerts to a very crowded coffee house.
  • We also had several group hangouts, one of them being a pink themed party to celebrate AngieBabe's second rez day, and a couple of impromptu geeky madness sessions that just kind of ensue whenever (1) Ariel Wingtips is around or (2) more than three of us find ourselves at the same place looking for something to do. OF COURSE doughnuts, fire, and bubble wrap were involved!

On behalf of the CTRL+Shift+H sim team, I thank you for coming to share our home and our vision for this place, for being fun and supportive friends, and for just letting your geek flag fly high! You guys make this place feel like Home.

80s party

Last Sunday we had our most successful Sunday themed party to date. Everyone got their full 80s vibe on and joined us for a walk down memory lane with DJ Sweez Tempest, who delighted us with the top 100 songs of that decade. We shared impressions, anecdotes, and a lot of song-related stories. It was so much fun!

Here are some of the outfits and my favorite lines of the night:

[20:34] PT Beardmore: I would take a bite out of Prince's "pancake"!

[20:34] Kaydence Rodeyn: ok, dancing with pac-man just made my weekend
[22:02] Polly Paperclip: Coy, here, eat this power pellet!

[21:36] Foxie Moxie: You people represent everything that was wrong with the 80s.
[21:37] Owly Indigo: omggggg foxie is a yuppie

[21:37] Foxie Moxie: From up here, you look like an untapped market

As usual, it all leads back to the realization of how truly geeky we are.
[20:25] PT Beardmore: we are partying inside a computer. lol

Oh, and ONLY if you are ready? This happened. Oh, how we love our friends.
